Buggy little scarf

Sunday, September 25th, 2005

So, I finished the second keyhole scarf. I have to admit, I think I like the other one I made better, although this one is nice as well. This one definitely used more yarn since it is ribbed and I think it would have been better if I had made the keyhole slit horizontally as I did in my last one instead of vertically. Also, I didn’t really bind off like I was supposed to, so you can see the bottom is a little wavy. Well, live and learn…000_0064

The important thing is that it will be warm, and cute…and it’s all for me. :)

Rowan cork keyhole scarf

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

This scarf was knit in Rowan cork–the best yarn I have used so far. 95% merino wool and 5% nylon. I love the scarf already. It’s comfy cozy. :)
I sent this scarf to Seung-ho’s mom on Monday as a Chuseok present (Korean harvest festival). It was hard to give it up, but I managed. I am making a scarf out of the green yarn for myself now. I had originally planned it as a gift for someone else, but decided that not everyone would like that color green.

It’s from this this page.

Kaitlyn’s birthday purse. Finished!!

Kaitlyn’s cute little birthday purse is finished. Well, except for a lining I should probably put in it. Her birthday is October 17th, so I am way ahead of schedule. I think the butterfly button adds a fun touch.

I started and ripped out this project about 4 times before I got an acceptable start on it. I am so happy it is finished. I hate Lion Brand Homespun!!! I will never knit with it again…even if it did only cost $3.75 for the skein on sale. (Anyone want the part that’s left? I think it’s about half the skein!)

The pattern is on this page.
